- Arsenal Kickz Scheme = Goals thru football
this scheme is based within helping teenagers from ages 9year olds – 18year olds from a diverse of backgrounds to engage them into a wide range of activities such as football sessions, matches against other estates, football leagues and other activities suggested to us for those who do not want to play to keep an interest and to provide the best opportunity some don’t have. By doing this we are
˙ reducing the amount of crime and anti-social behaviour in targeted neighbourhoods
˙ breaking down the barriers between young people and metropolitan police
˙ creating routes into education and training to employment
Arsenal Kickz Girls Only –
Whilst working with arsenal kickz scheme we have brought a wide range of young people together, half of them being girls! So has a female myself and having been brought up in such a troubled neighborhood similar to these young people, arsenal then decided to make a girls only kickz session, under the guidance of myself and another arsenal community coach: we now have a very close bunch of people working has a team especially helping each other and willing to help others who are more then welcome! “elthorne kickz girls” now represent arsenal as a U16 girls team in the “gunners in Islington girls only league”.
